HMS Birmingham sailed into Gosport & anchored up ashore for Rounds 5&6 of the National Series. Weather was warm & windy, perfect sailing conditions.
Starting with our “Young Guns”, Antoni Porebny had a storming weekend. Having 3 Weetabix for breakfast he took 1st & 2nd on both days. Frankie Jones doubled up on A-Finals with 3rd & 5th respectively in Male 6. Meanwhile Ethan Shore took 8th on Saturday but returned Sunday with a 1st Place!
3 x Riders in Male-9 & all producing the goods, Ronnie Wood narrowly missing out on the Final Saturday but qualified on Sunday finishing 6th. Rex Beasley made the B-Final Saturday, returned Sunday and raced to 8th A-Final. Finally, Teddy Jones Took 16th & then a cracking 6th in Round 6.
Huwie Hall was BBMXC only Male-10 Representative, Huwie went to 1/4 Finals Saturday & then made the Final Sunday with a DNF, good to see Huwie always pushing & racing 100%.
Ethan Rogers continues his development in Male-11 taking 6th & 7th in both A-Finals, Ethan now sits 4th overall in a stacked class.
Male-12 sees 4 x Riders competing in this “Bonkers” class! Billy Harrison & Heath Osbourne making gains & implementing 100% effort throughout the season. Billy returning 46th & 42nd, Heath with 26th & 24th, keep it up.Isaac was unlucky on Saturday going out in ¼ finals, went back to hotel & dosed up on Red Bull & unleashed an 8th in A-Final! British Champion Harry Donald took 8th & 13th, just shows how tough this category is with any Top-10 rider able to grab a victory.
3 x Riders in Male-13, Chase Barnard continues to push & worked a 32nd, not one to relax he romped to a fantastic 26th next day. Freddie Entwistle made B-Finals both days with some action paced racing & Lucas Osbourne took a B-Final on Saturday but unfortunately a DNF on Sunday in ¼ finals.
Our Male-15 Rockets saw NRT Rider “Curtis Copeland” take 4th on Saturday then 13th on Sunday. Dan Henry made some great progression taking ¼ Finals both Days & just missing out on Sem-Finals.
Sean Brown & Ben Weiss raced “Double Bubble”; Sean returned 2 x Podiums on the Cruiser & B-Final 8th & 20th on the 20”! Ben snatched 5th & 7th on Cruiser, he also raced a 12th & 17th on the 20”. Supreme effort riding 2 bikes…Male 16 Rider Josh Ball suffered a Crash on Practise, Josh decided to withdraw. Healing Vibes from everyone.
Our Cruiser riders were out in Force, birthday boy “Lewis Barnes” completed a 19th & 15th. Ethan Burn secured a B-Final & bought Home 16th & 17th with brother Liam earning 19th & 20th. Fantastic effort lads, keep up the good work.
Coach “Jos” had a monster result Saturday! Taking a 2nd in Superclass is an incredible achievement. Jos then bought home a 5th next day! Stellar racing Jos, Coach leading from the front.
Our Female Vikings never disappoint, Ruby Moore’s raced to a 5th & 6th. Remi Godfrey continues to carry the Family Flag in BMX. Remi took 5th & 12th racing up. Laure Anne-Carruthers rode the Sunday & was clearly inspired by the WSX & raced a brilliant 2nd.
NRT Rider “TJ Yates” also fresh from the WSX raced Sunday, with the Power of “Ken Roczen” possessing him he secured a 6th in the A-Final
Matt Barnard raced to a brilliant 2nd on both days in both A-Finals & Fitzroy Boyce took a B-Final win on the Sunday. Both men showing the “Young Guns” how its done. !
Finally, the rider of the Weekend. Wait for 1 Bus & 2 will come along !! Shea Jordan narrowly missed out on a B-Final last week but put that aside & went onto make Double B-Finals with his best results since he began racing. Shea rode away with 11th & 12th.
Some insane racing & some nasty crashes. “Big UP” to all that raced & healing vibes to the fallen.

A poignant lyric for the perfect weekend and did you deliver. Manchester BMX Club once again provided the dramatic setting for BBMXC riders to simply shineeeeeeeeeeee.
Our Report begins with the Cruiser Boys, Lewis Barnes suffered a crash on Saturday but took his 1st Moto win on Sunday finishing 22nd overall. Ethan Burn rode to 18th then returned next day and bettered that with a 17th. Not to be outdone younger Brother Liam rode 11th & 13th. Ben Weiss scored a 4th & then a Podium 3rd on Sunday. Harrison Gee graced us with his Presence taking 5th & 8th (not bad for a part-timer) & Matt Banard continues to defy age with 2 x 3rd!! But the real star of the weekend belonged to Sean Brown, we said it before he's one of the hardest working Riders in the Club & on his Birthday weekend took the Win & with a Clean Sweep!!!!
Boys? Please......the Girls are back in Town. Not one too “Look back in Anger” our Quartet of Female racers showed no signs of stopping. Morgan Haslam took 6th on Both days in Championship class & With Remi Godfrey unable to finish on Saturday pulled out a 4th on Sunday. Laure Ann Carruthers bagged 2 x 5th Places.
“”Tonnnnnnnnnnnigghhtt, I'm a Rock N Roll Star”” we’re the words uttered by Ruby Moore as she recorded back-2-back wins for Rounds 3&4.
Male “Challenge” Class never disappoints, “Pocket Rocket” Frankie Jones raced to 5th & 6th whilst Antoni Porebny hit 2 x 2nd Podiums on both days & secured a spot on the NRT!! Club “Crazy Boy” Ethan Shore rode to 1st Place Saturday & then 4th Sunday.
3 x Riders in Male-9, Teddy Jones securing 15th & 17th with Rex Beasley finishing 13th on both days but our very own “Rolling Stone” Ronnie Wood had his best weekend racing & took home 11th & 14TH.
Huwie Hall was the single representative in Male 10 & raced an impressive 14th & 20th. Ehtan Rodgers also repping solo in Male 11 continues to reach those A-Finals and records 2 x 4th places.
“We gotta Roll with it” Is what the Male-12 boys do, one of the most stacked age groups & just qualifying is an achievement. Liam Burn having already ridden Cruiser finished 51st & 57th whilst Heath Osborne grabbed 31st & 24th and joins brother Lucas on the NRT, meanwhile Billy Harrison came home in 55th but then smashed out a 37th the next day.
Harry Donald romped to 2nd on Saturday & then 12th on Sunday, NRT rider Isaac Shore took 13th but improved next day with an 8th in A-Final.
Male-13 Freddie Entwistle had a storming weekend with A-finals on both days taking home 4th & 7th whilst Chase Barnard finished 30th & 31st. NRT Rider Lucas Osborne smashed both days with 6th & 9th.
2 x Racers participated in Male-14, another bonkers Class!! Shea Jordan heartbreakingly had a blowout on Sunday & just missed out his 1st National semi-final but still finished 27th and a personnel best 17th. Sean Brown riding “Double Bubble” reached 19th & 15th
Representing Male-15 was Curtis Copeland & Dan Henry, Curtis with a 11th On Sunday but a quick gear change & he romped home to 7th. Dan Henry continues his national progression with 33rd on both days.
Josh Ball finished 15th on Saturday but withdrew from Sunday due to GCSE Exams (Good Luck) & NRT Ben Weiss stormed to 4th & 6th making A-Finals on both days.
Finley Clark rode a blinder all weekend taking 8th & then a cracking 3rd place on Sunday against some of the fastest Male 19-29 riders in the world.
Last but by no means least, our Veteran Riders. The “Legend” that is Matt Barnard took 2 x 3rd places and the oldest swinger in Town FitzRoy Bryce bagged 3rd & 7th.

The club has been extremely busy since our Riders attended Verona; this now provides us an opportunity to reflect on their success. 15 of the finest Jetted to Italy to compete in “Euro Rounds 1&2” & we start with Challenge class.
The “Shore” Brothers had a monumental Euro Debut, Isaac making 7th & 5th on both finals whilst younger sibling Ethan was rewarded with 2 x semi-Finals. Both stormed Veronal like Phil & Grant took over the Vic! Young Teddy Jones rode to ¼ on Saturday, went home & had 3 Weetabix & rode to a 6th in Semi-final. Harry Donald did what Harry usually does & took home both Wins!! Laurie suffered a Crash in her ¼ but returned from the Cryochamber to produce a 5th - Semi-Final & Ruby bagged a 5th - Semi & a sensational 7th – Final.
Sean Brown rode in Male 13 and took 2 x Moto wins, Sean is showing incredible progress given duration of competing. Imogen Gibson was surrounded by the fastest 17+ and was rewarded with 2 x Moto wins & older Brother Spencer was possessed with the spirit of “Frankie Dettori” with 7th – Final.
U23 Riders Callum Russell, Chad Hartwell & Jos Marnham represented the Male U23’s. Chad suffered multiple crashes but still grabbed semi-finals heal up soon. Jos took away 2 x 7th in the
1/8th & Callum Russell rode to the Final but was T-Boned and rewarded with 8th. Morgan Haslam was our only Female U23 representative, Morgan picked up 5th & 6th on Both days in respective moto’s.
Lastly, our Junior Elite. “Renatoooooooo Da Silvaaaa” just missed out on Saturdays Final , but romped to 7th on Sundays ! Alex Talbott suffered a Crash & affected his entire weekend, get well soon Mate.
Finally, Ava Brown romped to a ¼ on Saturday but a goods night sleep & Sunday returned a 7th in her Semi-Final
